Read this year's Arkalalah Edition
Arkalalah '08 - Oct. 22nd thru 25th

The 2008 Arkalalah Executive Committee has announced its theme "Life is a Highway" for this year's festival. This will be the 77th annual Arkalalah celebration and highway 77 runs through Arkansas City, so festival goers can see the tie in with the theme.

Arkansas City's annual fall festival, features a Big Parade on Saturday, Queen Alalah coronation, craft show, carnival, street games, and a "Parade of Lights".

Wednesday, October 22nd
11:00a.m. Concessions Open in Downtown Area
6:00p.m. All You Can Ride Night at Carnival
8:00p.m. Parade of Lights.

Friday, October 24th
9:00a.m. Burford Tours - Burford Theatre/confirm by calling Arkansas City Area Arts Council - 442-5895
10:00a.m. Carnival Opens
10:00 - 6:00p.m. Arkalalah Craft Show at Arkansas City Rec Center
10:00 - 6:00p.m. M.I.L.K. Managing Information on Lost Kids
at 117 W. 5th Ave.
11:00a.m. Concessions Open
11:30a.m. Strut and Stuff Contest
12:00p.m. - 8:00p.m. Chamber Refreshment Station in Burford Lobby - ice cold ale, soda or bottled water.
