Ruth Anne Lyke
Ruth Anne Lyke, 91, Burden, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008, at the Dexter Care Center in Dexter.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at Cambridge Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in Burden Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m Friday. The family will greet visitors from 5-7 p.m. that evening.
Born Dec. 10, 1916, in Burden, she was one of the five children born to Ross and Hazel (Tredway) Sitton.
Survivors include her son, Roger Lyke, of Cedar Vale; daughter, Karen Fouts, Costa Mesa, Calif.; sister, Marguerite Reece, Winfield; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Charles H. Lyke; her brothers, Jack, Claude and Ralph.
A memorial has been established in Ruth Anne's name for the Dexter Care Center and Hospice Care of Kansas. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Miles Funeral Home, Winfield.
Eugene Joe Vogele
Eugene Joe Vogele, 92, of Shidler, Okla., died Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, at his son's residence in Shidler.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008, at the Webb City Church of God. The Rev. Charles Richey will officiate. Interment will follow in the Foraker Cemetery.
The casket will be open at the funeral home until 8 p.m. today and at the church in Shidler from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to noon, Thursday.
Eugene was born May 20, 1915, in Webb City, Okla., to Gus and Maggie (Webb) Vogele. He was reared and educated in Webb City. He attended Oklahoma State A&M
College in Stillwater. He married Ruby Laura Brown on Oct. 10, 1938, in Stillwater. The couple made their home in rural Shidler, Okla. He was a farmer, but also took time to work for his son, working pipeline and taking up old railroad track.
Eugene was a lifelong member of the Webb City Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby, of the home; five sons, Bobby and his wife, Cinthia Vogele, of Shidler, Joe and his wife, Linda Vogele, of Shidler, Justin and his wife, Judy Vogele, of Maple City, Austin and his wife, Teri, of Ponca City, Jackie and his
wife, Debbie, of Arkansas City; four sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Horace, Donnie and Bill; two sisters, Anna and Claira.
A memorial has been established with Hospice of North Central Oklahoma. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

Francis M. Dugan
Francis M. Dugan, 71, longtime Newkirk resident, died early this morning, Jan. 29, 2008, at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Mary.
Arrangements are pending and under the direction of the Miller-Stahl Funeral Service, Newkirk.
