Louise Lorene McClure

Louise Lorene McClure, 87, Cambridge, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice at St. Francis in Wichita. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, in the Burden Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday. Born May 16, 1920, in Okemah, Okla., she was the daughter of Alonzo Dale and Ollie Mae (Pettit) Hagee. She worked in Colorado selling formals at Dupler's, later working at Smitty's. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Ann "Sherry" McClure, of Cambridge; three grandsons; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman A. McClure; and her parents.

Juanita Fern Wagner Bechtold

Juanita Fern Wagner Bechtold, 80, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, at Southern Oaks Care Center in Pawnee, Okla. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at the Poteet Funeral Chapel, Pawnee, Okla., with the Rev. Darrel Mote officiating. Interment will be at the Morrison Cemetery, Morrison, Okla. Born May 11, 1927, in Arkansas City, she was the daughter of Jacob Francis Jeffreys and Etta Beatrice Williams Jeffreys. She grew up in Arkansas City. Survivors include her husband, Tom Bechtold, Morrison, Okla.; two sons, Rick Wagner and Ronnie Wagner, Arkansas City; three daughters, Charlotte Denson, Arkansas City, Penny Kindlesparger, Pittsburg, Kan., and Debbie Mote, Morrison; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Bettie Smith, Camden, Ark. She was preceded in death by her previous husband, Karol Clodfelter; her parents; two brothers, George Jeffreys and Sam Jeffreys; seven sisters, Avy Jeffreys, Beatrice Peterman, Violet Bays, Leona Cummings, Elverda Smith, Nellie Matoy and Willeta Gooch; and one son-in-law.

Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Alzheimer's Research, 825 NE 13th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104. Arrangements are under the direction of Poteet Funeral Home, Pawnee, Okla.

Charles Irving "Chip" Potucek, 44, of Wichita, formerly of Oxford, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, in Wichita.

Gertrude Goulden "Tillie" Nagel

Gertrude Goulden "Tillie" Nagel, 92, of Arkansas City, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, at the South Central Kansas Regional Medical Center in Arkansas City. Cremation has been effected. A private family service will be held at a later date. Tillie was born Jan. 8, 1916, in a log cabin in Stoverville, Ark., to Joseph Edward Goulden and Inez Weakley Goulden Barnes. In 1933, she graduated from Arkansas City high school. After graduating high school, she went to work for Newman's Department Store. In 1933, she moved to New Orleans to work at the Shell Refinery. She also worked at the Shell Refinery in Arkansas City. Tillie married Henry Charles Nagel in 1941 in New Orleans. While married she traveled with her husband while he served in the Air Force. The couple lived in Arkansas and Texas for awhile, then moved back to New Orleans where they divorced. Tillie went to work for the CIA as a stenographer for over 30 years. In 1974, she retired and moved back home to take care of her mother for several years. Tillie spent the last few months of her life at Medicalodge East in Arkansas City. Survivors include her sister, Geraldine Jeanne Goulden Crouse Carder, of Arkansas City; sisters-in law, Betty Goulden, of Sarah, Miss., Violet Golden, of Carthage, Mo.; niece and caregiver of several years, Sherrylyn Hutchens and husband, Stephen, of Arkansas City; nieces, Sandy Goulden, of Oklahoma, Nancy Perry and husband, Jerry, of Carthage, Mo., Sue Stevens, of Birmingham, Ala., Dixie Wade and husband, Joe, of Lahoma, Okla.; nephews, Larry Golden and wife, Mary, of Arkansas City, Michael Golden, of Wichita, Dennis Goulden, of Arkansas City, Robert Goulden, of Ponca City, Richard Goulden, of Red Rock, Okla., Ronnie Goulden and wife, Tammra, of Memphis, Tenn., Dr. Kabin Carder and wife, Sabina, of Columbus, Ohio, Donnie Knowlton and wife, Cheryl, of Ponca City, Johnny Golden and wife, Sandy, of Saginaw, Mo., Perry Golden and wife, Patty, Steven Golden and wife, Annie, all of Missouri; great-niece, Ashley Lind and her husband, Jason, of Arkansas City. Tillie was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lillian Thomas, Laura Goulden, Leta Goulden and Ruth Knowlton; brothers, Leonard Goulden, Joseph Goulden, Norman Goulden and Bill William Goulden; niece, Sharon Austin; nephews, Greg Knowlton, B.J. Thomas, Mike Goulden and Jerry Crouse.
