Isabel Brilynn Brown
Isabel Brilynn Brown, infant daughter of Jeremy D. Brown and Hope N. Hoskins, died Sunday, May 4, 2008, at the South Central Kansas Regional Medical Center. Funeral services have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2008, at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Springside Cemetery. Pastor Jackie Vogele will officiate.
Survivors include her parents of the home; maternal grandparents, William and Bea Hoskins; paternal grandparents, Tom and Dana Brown; great-grandparents, Bob and Bea Rakestraw, Jim and Jan Brown; aunts, Sky Gervais, and Lindsey Hoskins; uncles, James Brown, and Tyson Rakestraw, all of Arkansas City; great aunts and uncles, Jaquie Bronscum, of Winfield, Vicky Thomas, of York, S.C., Dick Hoskins, of Arkansas City, Mike and LuAnn Hoskins, of Arkansas City, Bob and Rhonda Rakestraw, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., Mark and Barbara Scram, of Arkansas City, Lew and Judy Hoskins, of Olathe; and numerous cousins.
Isabel was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Irma and Cecil Chisholm, great-grandmother, Roma Brown, and Lester and Nola Hoskins.

Madie A. Reed
Madie A. Reed went to be with the Lord and Savior, surrounded by her family, on May 4, 2008, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2008, at Calvary Heights Temple, 2122 W. Edison, Tulsa. Visitation (wake) with the family is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today, at the church.
Madie was born June 15, 1942, in Tulsa, Okla., to Fred and Alma Wallace. Madie was married to Ronald Reed and spent her life being a pastor's wife and 40 years being a mother, both of which gave her the greatest joy.
Survivors include her husband of almost 50 years, the Rev. Ronald B. Reed; two daughters, Tammy Hinkle and Kim Walker; grandchildren, Heather Walker, Jessica Walker, Kimberlee Hinkle, Elisabeth Hinkle, Madison Reed and Reed Hinkle; sister and best friend, Nancy Lerrille and husband, Wayne, of Madisonville, La.; three brothers, Wayne Snelson and wife, Kathy, of Birmingham, Ala., Don Snelson, of Tulsa, and Thomas Wallace, of Van Buren, Ark.; and countless nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Kirby L. Koch
Kirby L. Koch, 48, Glendale Ariz., formerly of Arkansas City, died Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at his residence in Glendale. Memorial services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008, at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home. Wayne Robbins and Eric Hicks will officiate.
Kirby was born Jan. 14, 1960, in Arkansas City, to Loyd and Charlene (Smock) Koch. He was reared and educated in Arkansas City, graduating from Arkansas City High School in 1978. He was the Kansas State heavyweight wrestling Champion in sixth grade, and was a member of the Bulldog football and golf teams in high school. He attended Cowley County Community College and later went to work as a brakeman for the Santa Fe Railroad in Wellington. He worked for the railroad in Winslow, Ariz., for two years and at Gallup, N.M., also for two years. He then moved to Phoenix, where he worked as an engineer for 20 years, until he retired due to injuries. He had attended classes at the Glendale Community College.
While in Phoenix, Kirby was the president and local chairman for the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. He was a longtime member of the Arkansas City Church of Christ and the Southwest Church of Christ and the Northwest Church of Christ in Phoenix.
Survivors include his parents Loyd and Charlene; uncles and aunts, Allen and Lucille Koch, and Jean Koch, all of Arkansas City, Joe and Ruth Smock, of Ponca City, Don and Coene Edwards, of Noble, Okla.; and several cousins.
Kirby was preceded in death by his grandparents, Guy and Pearl Koch and Charles and Mary Smock; an aunt, Opal Brock; and two uncles, Harold and Richard Koch.
A memorial has been established with the Arkansas City Church of Christ, Andover Mission. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
