Mae Fern Bennyhoff
Mae Fern Bennyhoff, 84, of Lancaster, Calif., formerly of Wellington, died Wednesday, May 6, 2008, at the Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2008, in the Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Wellington.
Friends can sign the book Wednesday before the funeral and from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her daughters, Adaire Jane Stratman, of Lancaster, Calif., and Lynette M. Eddy, of Acton, Calif.; son, John Bennyhoff, of Panoramic City, Calif.; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Lois Ruth Selvidge
Lois Ruth Selvidge, 68, of Loudon, Tenn., died Thursday, May 8, 2008.
Funeral services will be held at at 7 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2008, with Rev. Eddie Click officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and proceed to Loudon County Memorial Gardens for graveside services at 11 a.m.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Click Funeral Home.
Lois was a loving, wife, mother and grandmother who loved to cook. She was born in Dandridge, Tenn., on her grandfather's farm and moved to the Kansas and Oklahoma areas where she attended a one-room school.
She was a member of Nelson Street Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years whom she married after three dates, John Selvidge; son, Daniel V. Selvidge and wife, Jennifer, of Lenoir City; granddaughter, Varina Selvidge; brother, Johnny Flynn, of Dandridge, Tenn., Bill Strange, of Arkansas City, David Strange, of Ft. Worth, Texas, Jim Strange, of Meeker, Okla., Rocky, Garland and Chet Strange, all of Arkansas City; sister, Carolyn Monsour, of Wildwood, Mo.; special nieces, Amy Graves, of Dandridge, Tenn., Christina Elledge, of Norman, Okla., Bettina Patterson, of Moore, Okla., along with many other nieces and nephews; special friends, Jay Ann Maples and Berle Wiggans.
She was preceded in death by her son, Johnny Dean Selvidge; parents, Herman and Nanny Strange; sister, Shirley Poe; father-in-law and mother-in-law, who loved her as a daughter, John and Pauline Selvidge.

Eula M. Ross
Eula M. Ross, 95, Smith Center, formerly of Stockton, died Friday, May 9, 2008, at the Smith County Long Term Care in Smith Center, Kan.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2008, at the Smith-Moore-Overlease Funeral Home in Stockton with the Rev. Becky Saddler officiating. Interment will be in the Stockton Cemetery.
Born June 5, 1912, in Rooks County, she was the daughter of J.H. and Ivy (Hess) Sammons. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughter, Phyllis Breese, of Smith Center, Kan.; sons, Eugene Ross, Phillipsburg, Everett Ross, of Arkansas City; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Ross, and three brothers.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association or to Hospice. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

Margaret (Holroyd) Thompson
Margaret (Holroyd) Thompson, 90, longtime resident of Cedar Vale, died Friday, May 9, 2008, in Cedar Vale.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at the Cedar Vale Church of Christ. The Rev. Frank Quaranta will officiate. Private family interment will be in the Ozro Falls Cemetery.
The family has suggested no visitation and the casket will be closed.
Born April 4, 1918, in Geuda Springs, she was the daughter of Madison and Lucile (Webb) Holroyd, of Cedar Vale. She went to country school (Bellew) close to Cedar Vale for the first six grades, followed by school attendance in Cedar Vale where she graduated in 1935. She attended the Fort Collins, Colo., high school for her junior year. Her parents lived there for a brief time.
In 1935, she married Harold Thompson and lived most of the next 20 years in Borger, Texas. After their divorce in 1955, Margaret with her children returned to Cedar Vale. She worked in the personnel office at the Winfield State Hospital and Training Center from 1956 until 1980, when she retired. After her father died in 1972, she and her mother moved into the Webb house in Cedar Vale. It was a house built by Lucile Holroyd's father. There Margaret cared for her mother for several years.
Survivors include her five children and their spouses, Lynn and Karen Thompson, of rural Cedar Vale, Kenneth and Joanne Thompson, Ontario, Canada, Judy and Jim Owens, of Cedar Vale, Martha and Terry Timblin, Florissant, Mo., and Mark and Yetive Thompson, of Attica, Kan.; one brother, Madison Holroyd Jr.; and one sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Maurice Wilkinson; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Jerry Thompson.
