Dennis Earl Baker
Dennis Earl Baker, 61, died Monday, May 29, 2006, at the St. Francis Via Christi Hospital in Wichita.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2006, at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Parker Cemetery.
Dennis was born Oct. 14, 1944, in Arkansas City, to Ted Baker and Norma Jean (Rinehart) Baker. Dennis attended Ark City schools graduating from Ark City High School in 1963. After high school Dennis joined the U.S. Navy as a boatman's mate in the Vietnam War. After serving in the Navy Dennis resided in Wichita, where he retired from Boeing Aircraft after 26 years of service as an inspector.
Dennis was also a member of the Park Place Church in Wichita, a member of the Gold Wing Touring Association and a Mason.
Survivors include his wife, Trina Baker, of Wichita; two daughters, Denise Elizabeth DeVane of San Clemente, Calif., and Pamela Sue Baker of San Diego, Calif.; one son, Max Earl Hawes Baker, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; stepdaughters, Cortni Gott and her husband, Chris, and Nicole Davis all of Wichita; brothers, Dale W. Baker, of Wichita, John D. Baker, of Derby, and Roger L. Carmody, of Dexter; a sister, Nancy E. O'Donohue of Ark City; six grandchildren.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Rachel L. Baker; stepbrother, William Z. Daily.
A memorial has been established with the Park Place Ministry Center Building Fund. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

Clefford William Cunningham
Clefford William Cunningham, 68, formerly of Arkansas City, died Monday, May 29, 2006, at his residence near Kaw City, Okla.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2006, at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home. Pastor Mike Sweetman will officiate. Interment will follow in the Maple City Cemetery.
Clefford was born Nov. 4, 1937, in Bartlesville, Okla., to Clefford Russell Cunningham and Nettie Lenora (Haley) Cunningham. They later moved to Blackwell, Okla., where he was reared. Clefford joined the U. S. Navy Jan. 13, 1956, and served on the USS Boxer as a radio man until 1959.
On May 28, 1960, he married Edith Laura Ritchey in Wickenburg, Ariz. They moved to Oklahoma in 1961 for a short time, then to Wellington, Kan., where Clefford started working on the Santa Fe Railroad. He transferred to Arkansas City in 1962, and continued working for the Santa Fe for 27 years. He also did custom swathing and baling.
Clefford was a member of the American Legion for over 35 years and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed doing leather crafts, playing pool, gardening, fishing and hunting. He enjoyed the outdoors most. Clefford and his wife moved to Kay City, Okla., in 1992 where he remained until his death.
Survivors include his wife, Edith Laura (Ritchey), of the home; one daughter, Laura Ann Alhomsi and her husband, Mowafak, of Cliffside, N.J.; one son, Clefford William Cunningham Jr., of Wichita; one sister, Lenora Jean Keeler, of Ponca City; stepmother, Joan Cunningham, of Arkansas City; two granddaughters, Hanneah Jamal Ramadan and Aishah May Alhomsi, of Cliffside Park, N.J.; one nephew, Allen Russell Keeler and his wife, Kathy, of Albuquerque, N.M., and daughter, Jenny Block and husband, Russ, of Burlington, Texas; three nieces, Rebecca Ann Hawkins and husband, Steve, and family, Ben and wife, Kriss, Andy, Charity, and Grace, of Ponca City; Julie Mae Schuelke and family, Joshua Schuelke and Shronn Crow and husband, Cardin, of Tahlequah, Okla.; Karen Walls and husband, George, of Hublert, Okla., and family, Samantha and husband, Billy and family of Haskel, Okla.; Paul Walls and wife, Kindra, of Tahlequah; and Neal Walls of Hulbert; a great nephew, Jonathon Hall, of Tahlequah; several cousins, many more relatives and too many friends to mention, but not forgotton.
Clefford was preceded in death by his parents, Clefford Russell Cunningham and Nettie Lenora (Haley) Pond; his stepfather, Allen Robert Pond; half brother, Billy Russell Cunningham; sister, Viola Jane Owens; niece, Rolene Jean (Olbrey) Hall.

Cecil J. Foudray
Cecil J. Foudray, 80, Winfield, died Monday, May 29, 2006, at William Newton Hospital in Winfield.
Cremation has been effected and memorial services will be held at a later date.
Born March 30, 1926, in Cedar Vale, he was the son of Cecil J. and Myrtle (Ireton) Foudray. He resided at the Winfield State Hospital until its closing. He then lived at Creative Community Living.

Russell John Moore
Russell John Moore, 94, Arkansas City, died Monday, May 29, 2006 at the Presbyterian Manor in Arkansas City.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 1, 2006, in the Riverview Cemetery in Arkansas City. The Rev. Steve Chambers will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Russell was born Jan. 25, 1912, to Edward W. Moore and Cora (Wilburn) Moore in Jet, Okla. He attended Arkansas City schools.
On Feb. 15, 1932, he married Vera M. Reed in Winfield. Russell served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a fireman in Arkansas City for 30 years. He serviced Seagrave and America La France fire engines for another 20 years.
Russell was a life member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Vera Moore of the home; daughter, Lynda Hunt and her husband, Bob, of Stilwell, Kan.; two grandchildren, Mary L. Mickey and Paul R. Hunt; and five great-grandchildren.
Russell was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Claude Moore, Covert Moore, Harold Moore and Otto Moore.
A memorial has been established with the Arkansas City Fire Department. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
