Billy Dean Treaster

Billy Dean Treaster, 72, Carney, Okla., died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, at the Assembly of God Church in Carney, with Pastor Daryl Loudin officiating. Interment will follow in the Wellston Cemetery, Wellston, Okla. Treaster was born Jan. 14, 1935, in rural Lincoln County, the son of Louis and Ruth (Murray) Treaster. He retired from General Electric in Cowley County. Survivors include his children, Paula J. Doule and John L. Treaster, of Wichita, Kan., Pamela J. Miller, of Yulee, Fla., and Billie J. Krug, of Tryon, Okla.; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brown's Funeral Parlor in Wellston, Okla.


Russell Dale Butler

Russell Dale Butler, 54, Arkansas City, Kansas, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, at Kansas Veterans' Home in Winfield.

Voneita Caroline Bartlett

Voneita Caroline Bartlett, 85, of Arkansas City, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, in Arkansas City. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, in the Memorial Lawn Cemetery Chapel in Arkansas City. Voneita was born March 22, 1922, to Harvey Dwyer and Callie (Dwyer) Flowers in Arapaho, Okla. She was raised by Harry Benshoof and her mother, Callie. Voneita attended Arkansas City High School, graduating on 1941. On May 20, 1941 she married Robert Lee Bartlett Sr., in Medford, Okla., and the couple made their home in Arkansas City. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her son, Robert L. Bartlett Jr. and his wife, Ona, of Phoenix, Ariz.; three daughters, Judith Moore and her husband, Lyall, of Arkansas City, Mary Briggs and her husband, Michael, of Oklahoma City, and Susan DeLong and her husband, Greg, of Arkansas City; sister-in-law, Karen Bartlett, of Norman, Okla.; two sisters, Jean Peterson, of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Joyce Edmondson, of Yakima, Wash.; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother; two sisters; grandson, James Alexander Bartlett; and son, James Ray Bartlett.

A memorial has been established with the Presbyterian Manor Good Samaritan Fund. Contributions may be made though the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home, Arkansas City. On-line condolences may be made at www.rindt-erdman.com.
