Dwight L. Ayling
Dwight L. Ayling, 72, of Bellevue, Wash., died at Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue on Friday, Dec. 14, 2007.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008, at the First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue, 1717 Bellevue Way NE, Bellevue, WA 98004.
Dwight was born on Jan. 25, 1935, in Chanute, Kan., to Charles and Frankie Ayling. At the age of 13, he and his family moved to Arkansas City. During his high school years, Dwight played the clarinet with the marching band and it was there that he met his future wife, Daphne Dillard. They were married on June 2, 1957, in Arkansas City. Dwight graduated from Wichita State University with an aeronautical degree in 1958. Following his graduation, the couple moved to Los Angeles and later relocated to Bellevue in 1960. Dwight worked for the Boeing Company in sales and traveled extensively. He and his wife and children lived in London from 1979 to 1985 and in Saudi Arabia from 1986 to 1991. Dwight became the regional director of sales for the Middle East. He and his family moved back to Bellevue in 1991.
Dwight was an elder and longtime active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue. He also was a member of the Blue Collar Lunch Bunch, and enjoyed snow skiing, arts, music, travel, dining out and swimming with friends at the Issaquah Julius Boehm pool. In addition, Dwight volunteered in the emergency room at Overlake Hospital for many years. He was a very outgoing person who enjoyed care giving and helping others. He was also known for his great sense of humor.
Survivors include his daughter, Deborah Lynn Ayling, of Mill Creek, Wash., and son, David Lee Ayling, of Bellevue; and many loving and caring friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother Charles William Ayling in 1976.

Betty Lou Morgan
Betty Lou Morgan, 76, of Wichita passed away Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007, at Harry Hynes Hospice of St. Francis in Wichita.
Following cremation with Hawks Funeral Home and Cremation Service, memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at Hawks Funeral Home of Arkansas City. Private inurnment will be at Hope Cemetery.
Betty was born April 27, 1931, in Arkansas City, the daughter of Vernon and Edith Anna Christy. She attended grade school in Ark City and in California and returned home to graduate from Ark City High School.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Wichita, and was employed in the food industry and worked for various restaurants.
Betty is survived by her children, Sharon Crane, and husband, Lloyd, of Arkansas City, Evan Morgan, and wife, Vonetta, of Ipava, Ill., Mark Morgan, and wife, Janell, of Derby, and Kim Wickham, and husband, Randy, of Blackwell, Okla.; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Charlotte Ginder; her parents; brother, Clarence; and sisters, Lila, Phyllis, Wanda and
Ester.
The family request memorial contributions be given to the American Lung Association in care of Hawks Funeral Home, 906 W. Kansas Ave., Arkansas City, KS 67005.

Russell Dale Anthony Butler
Russell Dale Anthony Butler, 54, of Arkansas City, passed away Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, at the Kansas Veterans Home in Winfield, Kan.
Following cremation with the Hawks Funeral Home & Cremation Service, graveside inurnment services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery in Winfield, Kan.
Russell was born on Sept. 15, 1953, the son of Boyd and Frances Coleman Butler in Arkansas City, Kan. He was a 1971 graduate of the Chickasha High School in Chickasha, Okla., and served his country honorably in the United States Army. He worked maintenance and gardening for the Westwood Villa Apartments in Arkansas City, Kan.
Surviving to honor his memory is his daughter, Brooke Butler, of Arkansas City, his father, Boyd Butler, of Newkirk, Okla., sisters Joyce Fildes, and husband, R. D. Owens, of Braman, Okla., and Paula Butler, of Chickasha, Okla., three grandchildren; Mariah, Hunter and Kamdyn, all of Arkansas City, Kan.
Preceding him in death are his mother, Frances Butler, and special grandmother, Rose Horineck Coleman Tubbs.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Russell Dale Anthony Butler Memorial Fund in care of Hawks Funeral Home to assist with Russell's funeral expenses.
