Harold Richard "Rick" Wright, 48, of Arkansas City, died Friday, June 28, 2013, at his residence.

Cremation has been effected.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Geuda Springs Cemetery.

Pastor Mark Kendrick will officiate.

Rick was born Jan. 23, 1965, to John R. and Betty Y. (Weston) Wright in Arkansas City.

He was reared and educated in Arkansas City and Oxford.

On Feb. 17, 1995, Rick married the love of his life, Elizabeth Cannon.

They had been together for 24 years, and made their home in Arkansas City.

Rick worked as a plumber for Skyline for many years until he was forced to quit due to his health.

Rick enjoyed his party life.

He also had a passion for fishing.

Most of all, he cherished his friends, family and his dogs, especially Cutter.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, of the home; sons, Stephen Wright, and wife, Tashina, of DeSmet, Idaho, and Tommy McBride, of Dexter; sisters, Kathy Nichols, Shirley Eckstein, and husband, Chad, Debbie Marrs, and husband, Randy, and Beverly Jane Cannon, all of Arkansas City; brother, John Wright, and wife, Kym, of Tulsa, Okla.; godson, Adrian Mundy Jr., and wife, Audrey, of Arkansas City; grandchildren, Nkosi, Anthony and Peyton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara Gates; and brother, Darryn Moore.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rick Wright Memorial Fund through the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home, Arkansas City.
