Cynthia Ann Ramirez, 55, of Arkansas City, died Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at Via Christi Medical Center-St. Joseph’s Campus in Wichita.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at First Assembly of God Church in Arkansas City. Pastor James Newman will officiate.

Cremation has been effected.

Cynthia was born Oct. 5, 1958 to Warren "Joe" and Mildred L. (Pool) Palmer in San Diego, Calif.

She was reared and educated in Arkansas City, graduating from Arkansas City High School in 1977.

Cynthia  is survived by her children, Jason Ramirez, of Pittsburg, and Maria Shire, and husband, Brian, of Winfield; mother, Millie Palmer, of Arkansas City; sisters, Connie Palmer, of Arkansas City, and Diane Vaughan, and husband, Lonnie, of Wichita; grandchildren, DeAngelo Tate, Nina Tate, Cody Shire, and wife, Tia, Brianna Shire, and Gracie Shire; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home, Arkansas City.
