For our annual Progress Edition this year, we decided to focus on local Visionaries. Inside you will find four special sections devoted to people and groups living out their visions. We thought this would be a good topic for 2006, especially since Cowley County conducted its Vision 20/20 project to find out what local residents expect from their community. New to this year's edition was the writing contest, in which readers submitted letters outlining their personal vision for Ark City. A selected group of these visions will be available online. This edition updates readers on the major economic and cultural developments influencing our lives here in the Ark City area. Only selected stories can be found online.
