VALLEY CENTER -- The Ark City Takedown Club took six wrestlers to the 2009 Valley Center open on Saturday, with two grapplers winning titles in their respective weight classes.

Eight-year-olds Christian Robinson and Britton Maclaughlin both went undefeated on the day.

Maclaughlin went 3-0 in the 8-U 61-C weight class, earning one pit, a 15-0 technical fall and an 8-6 decision.

Marcus Robinson lost his first match at 67 pounds in the 8-U division, but rebounded with a 13-0 major decision and followed that up with a pin to take home the silver medal.

Dalton Collins finished third at 110 pounds in 8-U, winning his final match with a 5-1 decision. Montez Robinson took third in the 8-U 58-pound bracket, finishing with a 3-2 record. Mick Bryant placed fourth in the 8-U 64-B bracket, going 2-3.

Competing in a tournament Saturday in Cimarron, Bryson Knuckles captured the 82-pound championship in the 10-U division, pinning all three of his opponents in 15 seconds or less.
