The Cowley College men's basketball team recently jumped back into the NJCAA Division I Basketball Poll, as they are ranked 17th with a record of 13-1.
The Tigers, who entered the season ranked 25th in the preseason poll, fell out of the rankings after a 57-49 loss to Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa on Nov. 17.
However, seven straight wins and a convincing 78-42 victory over Kansas City in its conference opener last Saturday, helped vault Cowley back into the rankings.
Cowley is the lone school in the Jayhawk Conference to appear in the poll. The Tigers lead the Jayhawk East in scoring at 84.6 points per game, while holding its opponents to 57.5 points per contest.
Chris Rhymes (13.2 points) leads a balanced Tiger attack that features four players averaging in double figures and seven players that average at least 8.5 points per game.
