Commissioners start looking at their goals
City commissioners are planning to hold a goal-setting session tonight after the work session meeting. Sometimes the work session goes too long, and if it does that goal setting session could be put off, Mayor Dotty Smith said this morning.

Continuing its strong start to the conference season, the Cowley College women's basketball team edged two-time defending conference champion Coffeyville Community College 48-47 Saturday night at W.S. Scott Auditorium to remain unbeaten in the Jayhawk Conference Eastern Division.

Rhymes, No. 17 Tigers rally past Coffeyville
Trailing by as many as 12 points (32-20) in the first half of its game against Coffeyville Saturday at W.S. Scott Auditorium, the No. 17-ranked Cowley College men's basketball team used a 21-0 second half run to defeat Coffeyville Community College 83-68.
