Scholarship expo set for high school

The Arkansas City High School Expo 2008 college scholarship informational seminar for junior and senior high school students and their parents will be held today at 6:30 p.m. at the Arkansas City High School.

The event will begin with a 45-minute financial-aid seminar, "Making Financial Planning Count" by presented by Monster, in the auditorium followed by individual informational sessions at various booths set up in the foyer.

Information on scholarship ranging from $500-$20,000 will be available from the following Ark City clubs and businesses will be available: ACE Fund offering five scholarships, Kansas Association of Retired Personell, Kiwanis Club, Legacy Foundation, Rotary Club, Union State Bank, McDonald's Computer Service, Cowley College and various individuals.

New this year, will be a one deadline submission date in February of scholarship applications.
