Voter registration drive set on school referendum
There will be a voter registration drive this weekend to help get people registered to vote in hopes that they will vote for the bond issue referendum for Arkansas City Schools.
The people who are mounting the campaign will have tables set up at Graves, Country Mart and Dillons from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday.
People may also pick up registration forms at those stores at any time.
Those who are registered by Feb. 4 will get a ballot mailed to them. If you are already registered to vote there is no need to register again.
Ballots will be mailed Feb. 14.
Voter registration forms are available at banks in Ark City, the city water department and at the county courthouse in Winfield.
