Dinner will raise money for EquuSearch team

By FOSS FARRAR
Staff Writer

A spaghetti dinner to raise funds for Texas EquuSearch, the nonprofit, volunteer search-and-rescue team that located Jodi Sanderholm's car after she went missing last month, will be held at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 13 at the Arkansas City High School Cafeteria.

Tickets are $5 apiece, and may be purchased from Arkansas City High School students who are members of several organizations sponsoring the event. They also may be purchased at the Arkansas City Area Chamber of Commerce and the Ark City Dance Studio.

Sponsoring groups are the FFA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Kay Club, said Cory Epler, agri-science teacher and FFA sponsor.

All proceeds from the dinner will go directly to Texas EquuSearch, Epler said.

The three sponsoring groups donated a total of $700 to cover the cost of the catered dinner, he added.

"We have contacted the Sanderholms and they are in support of the dinner," he said. "We hope (Texas EquuSearch) could help another family."

The dinner will be held immediately before the Ark City Bulldogs take on the Campus Colts on Feb. 13 at the Ark City High School gymnasium.
