Tim Miller, the founder of the Texas-based EquuSearch, the search-and-rescue team that located Jodi Sanderholm's car last month after she was declared missing, is coming back to town next week.
Miller plans to attend the spaghetti dinner being held to raise funds for his nonprofit, all-volunteer search team on Tuesday at the Arkansas City High School cafeteria.
The dinner, which starts at 5:30 p.m., is being sponsored by the FFA, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Kay Club. Tickets are $5 and are available through the Arkansas City Area Chamber of Commerce, the Ark City Dance Studio, or any Ark City student who is a member of one of the sponsor groups.
This morning, Brian Sanderholm, Jodi's father, said Miller called him last night to verify that he would be at the dinner.
"He said he would be here if he had to crawl through the snow," Sanderholm said.
He said Miller told him he would arrive at the fundraiser at 6 p.m., though it starts at 5:30.
Sanderholm also said that Miller plans to come in the morning of the 13th so he will have time to visit with the police, the sheriff and others.
Miller should be easy to spot at the dinner. He underwent neck surgery in late January and will require a neck brace for three months, according to his TexasEquuSearch.org Web site.
