From STAFF REPORTS

Team KayO, an Arkansas City-based Mixed Martial Arts and boxing training center, will take five boxers to a Golden Gloves event Saturday at Memorial Auditorium in Hutchinson.

Sal Venegas, Matt McDonald, Nico Bedolla and Sal Vasquez will make their boxing debuts, while Gary Colston will box in his third career fight. Colston won his first two career fights.

Colston has been training with Team KayO since its inception last March, Venegas for the last nine months. McDonald, Bedolla and Vasquez are relative newcomers, training for the last two months.

Saturday's fights start at 7 p.m. Advanced tickets can be purchased for $7, or $10 at the door.

Team KayO will be sponsoring a Golden Gloves boxing tournament March 29 at the Ag Building -- the first time in 15 years a Golden Gloves even has been held in Ark City. Fighters from Kansas, Oklahoma and Missouri will compete.

Advance tickets are $7 and $10 at the door.

For further information, visit Team KayO at 120 W. Fifth Ave in Ark City.
