Self not interested in OSU

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) -- Kansas coach Bill Self said Thursday that he has no interest in returning to coach his alma mater, Oklahoma State, if the job were to open up after the season.

''It's not something that's even worth talking about,'' Self said. ''It's a dead issue. It's not going to happen.''

Self, who will be in Stillwater on Saturday when the No. 4 Jayhawks face Oklahoma State, played for the Cowboys from 1982-85 and was an assistant at Oklahoma State from 1987-93.

Self, a native of Oklahoma, has continually denied speculation that wealthy Oklahoma State boosters are raising funds to entice him back home.

''I really think it's an injustice to their present staff because they deserve every opportunity to do as well as they can possibly do,'' Self said. ''People in the know or people that I know personally, they know me and they know what our situation is here. That hasn't been anything that has even remotely come up with me. To be honest, it's a disservice to everyone involved to even call attention to it. It's dead with me.''

Second Amendment
Does the Second Amendment guarantee an individual's right to own a gun, as the Supreme Court recently ruled?

Yes, that was the intent of the founding fathers.
No, the founders were only talking about militias.
It's still unclear.
