Arkansas City senior Trison Graham joined an elite group on Saturday.

Graham won his fourth straight wrestling title at the Class 5A state tournament in Hutchinson. He defeated Valley Center's Seth Mertins by an 8-3 decision to win the 130-pound title.

In doing so, Graham became only the 23rd wrestler in Kansas history to win four straight titles. Hutchinson's Romero Cotton also won his fourth straight title on Saturday, capping off an unblemished season with a 41-0 record.

Graham joined Devin Bahm (1993-96) and Justin Ware (1989-92) as the only Ark City wrestlers to win four straight titles. Graham finished his career with a record of 114-29.

Teammate Scott Elliott won his third state title on Saturday. He rolled past Pittsburg's Tyler Koehn 9-2 to win the 171-pound title. It was Elliott's third state title -- and first 5A title. He finished his career with a glistening 146-3 record.
