Fundraiser planned for local child
A fundraiser dinner will be held from 5-7:30 p.m. Thursday, at the Central Christian Church, on the corner of First and Chestnut in Ark City, to benefit Khristian Godfrey.
Khristian was born with Pfeiffer Syndrome, a condition resulting from the premature fusion of the skull characterized by bulging eyes, mid-face abnormalities and broad thumbs.
Khristian travels to Dallas for very expensive treatments, for which his family is struggling to pay.
Donation canisters are available at numerous businesses in Ark City.
Donations may be made at the following establishments: Country Mart, Jumpstart, Green Door La Familia, Jumpstart East, Apco East, Daisey Mae's, Movie Gallery, Shell Station, Joe's Barber Shop, L.G. Pike, Beta Sigma Phi, the American Legion and Ark City Highschool.
Khristian's family would like to thank the above mentioned merchants and the congregation of Central Christian for their efforts.
Canister donations will be collected by March 30, prior to Khristian's trip to Dallas for treatment.
