Arkansas City High School Jazz Band member Ryan Cells gets ready with other band members to play for parents Thursday at an open house at the high school.

The event was aimed at giving parents a chance to see what students do. A similar event was held earlier this year, and another one had been scheduled but was rescheduled for last night because of weather.
