Bangers and mash dinner this evening

Winfield Main Street's Bangers and Mash dinner will be held today. The dinner will be served at Baden Square from 5:30 to 7 p.m. with all proceeds going toward Winfield's downtown revitalization efforts.

Entertainment for the evening will include the Walnut River String Band and Winfield's Irish Dancers.

The Walnut River String Band members have long supported the efforts of Winfield Main Street, providing entertainment for many of the organization's special events.

In addition to the string band, a group of local Irish dancing aficionados led by Dr. Bruce and Billie Wells will demonstrate the art. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun and the dancing too.

Bangers are grilled Irish sausages and mash is an Irish version of mashed potatoes and gravy. Homemade pie and fresh salad accompany the bangers and mash for $7 per person. No tickets are necessary.

Carry out is available for Bangers and Mash by calling 221-7888.

Second Amendment
Does the Second Amendment guarantee an individual's right to own a gun, as the Supreme Court recently ruled?

Yes, that was the intent of the founding fathers.
No, the founders were only talking about militias.
It's still unclear.
