Brooks files for position

By JOSHUA AMES
Courier Staff Writer

Cowley County Clerk Karen Brooks has announced that she is filing for re-election in the November election.

Brooks said she has enjoyed her job as county clerk and will continue to serve the residents of Cowley County to the best of her knowledge and effort, as she has in the past.

"I'm excited and I hope to get re-elected," said Brooks. "I've enjoyed what I've done over the past four years and I hope to continue serving."

Brooks said her stint as county clerk has helped her realize what a valuable asset she is to the county, and to the community in general.

"It has been an honor to serve as county clerk, and I feel I have brought several positive changes to the clerk's office and the election office," Brooks said.

Brooks said that since she first became clerk, she has found several methods to make her job qualities even better.

"I have learned many skills along the way that will make my job as county clerk even more effective in the future."

Brooks also said the pleasant work environment she is accustomed to has helped her do her job to the best of her abilities.

"I feel very lucky to have a staff that works well together and has the knowledge to serve the public," said Brooks.
