Keyboard fest planned

The Arkansas City Music and Dramatics Club in cooperation with the Walnut Valley Music Teachers Association and Sparks Music will present Keyboard Duet Festival at 2:30 p.m. March 30, at the Brown Theatre on the campus of Cowley College.

The festival is the annual scholarship concert of the club for Cowley music students.

This year's recipients are Sarah Richardson, Sarah Davidson, Elisha Swope and Anna Stevens.

Fourteen keyboards will be on the stage with over 90 piano students and 35 adults performing. Eight levels of ability from beginner to adult II are represented.

The conductor for the festival will be Robbie Banks, of Winfield. Roger Sparks owner Sparks Music in Ark City will provide the Clavinovas for the concert.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for students.

Ticket may be obtained from club members, Sparks Music or at the door.

This event occurs every four years.

The club thanks the community for its support of the Cowley students.
