Chalice Casting's 'Faith County' begins tonight
The Chalice Casting Company of the First Christian Church of Arkansas City will present "Faith County" written by Mark Landon Smith directed by Vic Olmstead at its 6 p.m. dinner theater April 3-5, in Turner Fellowship Hall of the church. The assistant director is Carrie Mapel.
The play begins with the gang running a concession booth next to the stockyards at the State Fair in Faith County near Mineola. Faye has a poetry reading accompanied on the piano by Gladys, who imbibes a little too often, and Bubba on the triangle. Naomi and Mildred have both entered the arts and crafts competition so it will be hard to judge who will win.
The menu will consist of smoked pork chops, rosemary potatoes, green beans, sumi salad, bread, dessert and cookies.
