Bob Voegele, a Republican from Bolton Township, has filed to challenge Cowley County Commissioner Gary Wilson, a Democrat.

lan Groom, a Republican from Winfield, filed for the commission seat currently held by Carmelita Clarkson. Groom faces Republican Mark Eastman in the primary; Clarkson faces Democrat John Mars, of Ark City, in the primary.

John Whittington, of rural Douglass, filed as Republican to challenge Ed Trimmer, D-Winfield, for the state House in District 78.
