Tourism workshop Thursday in Winfield

It is time for the next workshop of the series presented by the Flint Hills Tourism Coalition, 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Winfield.

The previous workshop held in May was an introduction of the Flint Hills Tourism Coalition and its purpose and vision. This time the workshop will be more focused to providing actionable information directed to our area and demographics.

Lisa Roberts, Director of Business, Industry, and Entrepreneurship at Cowley College will deliver a presentation on successful marketing of authentic Flint Hills products and services.

There will be an open discussion with a panel of businesspersons from our area to demonstrate how to build alliances and partnerships with others to better address common marketing challenges.

The panel members are: John Brewer of Wyldewood Cellars Wineries in Mulvane, Gary and Wanda Headrick of Flint Hills Aromatherapy in Atlanta, Amy Grose of CornerBank in Winfield, and Meredith Kowalski of Prestige Monogram in Winfield.

Dr. Bill Smith, Director of the Center for Business and Economic Development at Emporia State University will return to participate and moderate the panel.

The workshop will be in the large banquet room at Baden Square, 700 Gary Street in Winfield from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. this Thursday July 12.

People attending the workshop may pay the $10 fee upon arrival. Rrefreshments provided.
