White is hitting .415 this summer with a team-high 43 RBI. He is tied with Jonathan Hale for the team lead in home runs with three each ... Bond is hitting .483 and Kegan Knight carries a .388 average ... Ryan Kacirek has posted a 6-1 record this summer with a 4.50 ERA ... Corbin Pierson is 2-0 with a 2.15 ERA ... The Falcons participated in three 3 and 2 Showcase Tournaments in Johnson County this summer including one wood bat tournament ... The Falcons also competed in the Battle of Omaha Tournament and the Blue Springs, Mo. Wood Bat Tournament.

On the family front, Ark City boasts Blake and Dylan Burroughs, the son of Dave Burroughs and Brent Burroughs, the son of Darren Burroughs. The connection ... Dave Burroughs is the head coach for Cowley College and Darren is his assistant ... The Black Diamonds had a rough patch in the month of June by winning just six games in the month compared to 16 losses.
