Logan Butler continued his undefeated stretch to the highest level of competition in competitive pedal pulling (using pedal driven mini-garden tractors to pull loads).

The 2008 International Pedal Pull Championship was held in Fairfieldt, Iowa to end the yearlong calendar of events.

Butler had previously won the Kansas State Fair and the 8 year old division at the national contest besting the 28 competitors in his age group last September in Mitchell, South Dakota.

The international contest invites the top 5 contestants from each age group at the national contest in addition to the Top 5 from Canada to meet in a pull off each summer. Butler won the contest by completing two "full pulls" of 40 feet then out pulling a competitor from Minnesota in a pull-off for the big win. Butler pulled 520 pounds a distance of 34 feet 9 inches, beating his final opponent by two feet.

The entire chain of events will begin again at the local contest held at South Haven, then Hutchinson for the state fair.

Logan is the son of Brett and Cathy Butler of Geuda Springs, KS.
