CCCC Athlete of the Week

Dustin Mettler - Freshman - Cross Country

The Week: The freshman, from Duncan, Okla., finished second in the first meet of his collegiate career Thursday at the Cowley Invitational at Quaker Haven Camp. Mettler finished the 5K men's race in 16 minutes, 16.9 seconds.

The Season: The Tigers compete Friday at the Friends Invitational in Goddard.


ACHS set for Pioneer League

Arkansas City Middle School is scheduled to make its Pioneer League debut at 5 p.m. Thursday with football and volleyball at Towanda-Circle.

Because two volleyball matches will be played at the same time, the normal home date was moved to Towanda.

Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for students.
