Dexter falls to Oxford
OXFORD -- The Dexter Cardinals got a rough start to the 2008 football season, falling 50-0 to the Oxford Wildcats in South Central League 8-man play Friday night.
Senior running back Steven Archambeau had 70 yards on 12 carries to lead the Cardinals, who managed 120 yards on the ground.
Oxford led 28-0 after the first quarter and 44-0 at halftime. The game ended by the mercy rule after the Wildcats' first score of the second half.
Dexter plays at Elk Valley next weekend.
