Graves heating up at Wrangler National Finals Rodeo

After barely missing out on a paycheck the first two rounds, Stockton Graves, of Newkirk, has collected one in the three rounds since in steer wrestling at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Graves won Round 4 on Sunday, as he brought down a steer in 3.3 seconds. He earned $16,394.23 for placing first. He tied for fourth in Rounds 3 and 5. On Monday, he brought down a steer in 3.6 seconds.

Through five rounds, Graves has earned $27,499.99 and accumulated a steer wrestling - average of 26.40 seconds. He is currently third in the steer wrestling standings.

Jerome Schneeberger, of Ponca City, has earned a paycheck the last two rounds.

Schneeberger tied for fourth in Rounds 4 and 5. He tied a calf in 7.4 seconds on Sunday and 8.2 seconds on Monday. He's earned a paycheck of $5,552.88 each of the last two days.

Through five rounds, Schneeberger has earned $17,980.76 and accumulated a tie-down roping average of 50.6 seconds. He is currently fifth in the tie-down roping standings.
